It shall be the aim of those who take lunch together to enjoy, respect and preserve civilisation in its widest sense.
The principal criteria comprising this objective are seen to be

- availability of a suitably appointed and located eating establishment
- the establishment to possess a menu which demonstrates an appreciation and sensitivity to local traditions
- that menu shall be, overall, conducive of a sense of well-being in all those present
- it is a sine qua non that appropriate wines shall be on offer
- the whole to be served in an atmosphere which enhances the four foregoing criteria

It is further decided that these aims would be best satisfied at establishments located in the area of Salobreña, and most usually in the periods late Spring and early Autumn.

Those present should ideally represent a wide sample of backgrounds, cultures and nationalities.
